PC EXPO, New York, NY, June 22, 1999 CosmoCom Inc., (www.cosmocom.com), a leader in Internet customer service, heralds the release of Microsoft Windows NetMeeting 3 to the Web. CosmoCom incorporates the NetMeeting 3 software into its CosmoCall software, which brings customer service to the Internet, creating the next generation of e-commerce.
Ari Sonesh, CosmoComs President and CEO, said, "We are committed to providing real-time customer service to e-biz Web sites through a variety of means, including real-time chat and voice on the Net, telephone, e-mail, voicemail and fax. NetMeeting has been a critical part of the success of our CosmoCall software, and the release to the Web of version 3 will only increase our ability to provide the best possible communication between e-businesses and their customers."
Many Internet users find their on-line shopping experiences unsatisfactory and, as a result, often do not complete their transactions. CosmoCall lets site owners provide live, real-time customer support, allowing e-businesses to maximize their online sales. CosmoCall also allows eBusinesses to offer hosted services, creating a new revenue stream.
"Web sites that include live customer service can provide an organization with a decided advantage, particularly in e-commerce applications, and that could help organizations retain and delight customers," said Mark Lee, product manager for Windows Communications at Microsoft Corp. "The new version of Windows NetMeeting provides an even better foundation for these capabilities, and CosmoCom is building on this platform to deliver its innovative suite of customer interaction products."
