MELVILLE, NY, MAY 23, 2000 -- CosmoCom, Inc., the industry leader in unified contact center technology, announced today that it has been named the leading player in the competitive
Internet Protocol Automatic Call Distributor (IP-ACD) market by Frost & Sullivan, an international marketing consulting firm. A spring, 2000 Frost & Sullivan report titled “US Web-Enabled Call
Center Markets” cited CosmoCom as one of the first companies to introduce server-based IP-ACD products and credited CosmoCom with a 50% U.S. market share in 1999, beating out PakNetX (now owned by Aspect)
with only a 25% share of the marketplace, and all 13 other market participants (among them Cisco, eGain, IEX, Lucent, Nortel, Quintus, and Picazo) with a total combined market share of only 25%.
The same report also recognized CosmoCom, Inc. with an Entrepreneurial Company Award for producing a new and unique product solution with a high probability of reaching its market potential over the
next five years, and for its strong marketing strategy, including strategic alliances, industry endorsements, positive press notices.
The report added that “CosmoCom, Inc. has earned industry-wide recognition during 1999 for its CosmoCall Universe product, a pure IP-based contact center solution,” and indicated that the Company
has earned investor confidence and enjoys “numerous successes and growing revenue stream.”
CosmoCom’s eCustomer communication platform, CosmoCall Universe, is the essential eCare technology, connecting eBusinesses and their customers worldwide in multimedia sessions via the Internet and
the telephone, also managing email and voicemail messages, all in a single unified platform. CosmoCall Universe supports live online customer care – the next big trend on the Internet – with an
IP-based contact center architecture designed for high capacity, high availability operation, and global distribution. The award-winning system surpasses all existing call center technology in capacity,
availability, and scope with its revolutionary next-generation architecture. The only truly unified contact center technology available today, CosmoCall Universe is both an end-user solution and an
ASP-proven platform for service providers.
This announcement accompanied news of a U.S. patent issued to CosmoCom for the unique technology of CosmoCall Universe. The patent, titled Multimedia Telecommunication Automatic Call Distribution System,
was issued in April, 2000.
“We are gratified that Frost & Sullivan has recognized CosmoCom’s dominance in the IP-ACD market and honored to receive its Entrepreneurial Company Award,” remarked Ari Sonesh, CosmoCom
President and CEO. “Given the reputation of Frost & Sullivan for identifying market leaders and trends, the overwhelming market share attributed to CosmoCom, and the U.S. patent recently awarded
CosmoCom for the unique technology of CosmoCall Universe, I am confident that CosmoCom will remain the undisputed leader in unified contact center technology.”
