CosmoCom Names Hamamedia Master VAR for Korea

MELVILLE, NY – November 20, 2006 – CosmoCom, the global leader in Unified Customer Communications, today announced the appointment of Hamamedia as a Master Value Added Reseller in Korea. Hamamedia is a pioneering regional provider of contact center on demand platforms based on CosmoCom's flagship CosmoCall Universe software. CosmoCom is working with Hamamedia to strengthen support for current customers in the region, and to create new opportunities for its unified customer communications platform.

Under its designation as Master VAR, Hamamedia in Korea will undertake both direct sales and channel development, for service provider platforms and enterprise implementations. In addition, it will work with CosmoCom to establish OEM relationships in the region. According to Datamonitor, the Asia Pacific region will account for 20 percent of the global call center population by 2009, and Korea is ahead of the curve of booming interest in IP-based contact center installations in that region.

Hamamedia is led by two veteran IT sales and marketing leaders in the Korean/Asia Pacific region: CEO Langkee Minn and COO, Woosurk Chweh. Langkee holds an MS degree Computer Information Systems from Southern New Hampshire University and has almost 20 years of experience with technology companies including Samsung Electronics, Compaq, and Intel. His innovative channel marketing strategies for Compaq have served as a guide to other IT marketers in Korea. Woosurk earned an MBA in global management from the prestigious Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration. He has more than a dozen years of technology industry experience with companies including LG Electronics, IBM, and Compaq/HP.
